To create a new identity and visual system for New Horizon Youth Centre that communicates positivity and the friendly approachable culture of the centre.

“Wemakedesign has gone way beyond the
call of duty in designing our new logo, it’s
clear, crisp, vibrant and all embracing and says what we wanted it to say about the
work we do – creating positive futures for
young vulnerable people. I can’t
recommend them too highly.”
Jon Snow, Journal ist/TV presenter,

Background

New Horizon Youth Centre is a London based charity who offer a range of services to help young vulnerable people. We were asked to redesign their flyers for 2009.

Our response was to create a complete new identity and visual system that communicates positivity and the friendly approachable culture of the centre.

Brief

Our task was to communicate their core aim of creating positive futures through the identity, visual language, brochure collatoral and posters. We wanted to create a friendly identity that suggested a simple journey of A to B – where they currently are today and where they would like to be tomorrow. A simple, yet powerful solution for a very worthy cause.

Solution

Every year we try and help out a charity and this year it was New Horizon Youth Centre. The feedback from the general public on the NHYC’s new identity is very positive. Exactly what we wanted to hear!

Background

Ivertec is a leading Irish developer of information management software and services to all levels of the educaton sector.
The company has developed various attendance management products which offer Ivertec the opportunity to achieve the aggressive growth targets that have been set for the next 3 years. The Anseo products offer attendance and administration solutions and have been
on the market since 2001.

Brief

The future of the company is directly related to the successful promotion and positioning of both Ivertec and the Anseo brand within the education sector.

With exciting new opportunities for learning, it was important to reflect that Ivertec is bringing about innovative change both through it’s own brand and it’s product Anseo.

Solution

Anseo (pronounced An-Shuh) is the Gaelic word for present, it’s the word announced in response to the school roll call.

Our response to rebranding Anseo was a hand raised in a stylised ‘A’. Clever and simple. The visual language is based on a series of icons we developed which are all related to education. The Ivertec brand conveys professionalism, confidence and of course technology.

Wemakedesign draws on the
high-level experience of the partners,
Nicola Dillon and Adam Gallacher.
Twenty seven years experience gained in Ireland, the UK and Australia, working with major clients and gaining many industry awards. Our big project experience is equally matched by our big creative thinking ability. We’re a truly multi-disciplinary consultancy, equally at home producing a powerful new identity, or high impact brochure, eye-catching packaging or
engaging website.

We are passionate about creativity and the delivery of high quality solutions that match our clients’ objectives and which really make a difference to their bottom line. Central to this objective is the cementing of long-term relationships that are built on trust and integrity. This enables us to add value, to truly understand our clients’ businesses and markets, and to develop solutions which have strategic benefit as well as creative substance. And in the current climate, we believe when it comes to design companies, smaller is smarter for greater levels of service and better value for money.

We reliably deliver quality, value and that bit of magic. We always go the
extra mile.

We always look at the bigger picture before drilling down to the detail.

In the majority of cases we have a strategic input from the start of a project, helping to develop and hone the brief together with our clients. From the outset, this ensures there is always a yardstick by which our thinking and solutions can be judged. Through a combination of the disciplines below, we can deliver the skills, the knowledge and the experience to drive and manage projects from concept to completion.

Doing the groundwork
During this 1st stage we develop
our understanding of your brand.
We examine its business, current situation, market and key competitors, undertaking a full analysis of the nature of the assignment. Only with
a comprehensive understanding can
we find the perfect solution.

> Research and analysis
> Competitor audit
> Create design brief

Delivering great ideas
It is often at this stage that the key insights and leaps of imagination are achieved that allow us to deliver the best solution. We have a reputation for coming up with big ideas and creative solutions that are unique, memorable and effective.

> Ideas generation
> Brand strategy
> Brand personality

Bringing brands to life
To bring a brand to life we can
apply the identity throughout an organisation’s entire internal and external armoury. A client doesn’t necessarily need all of them to create a successful brand. We structure and manage each project to meet the unique needs of each client.

> Brand Identity
> Corporate Literature
> Packaging
> Exhibition Graphics
> Signage & Livery
> Annual Reports
> Brand Guidelines
> Digital Communications

Protecting your investment
To help maximise the impact of our clients’ communications, we are
always proactive in ensuring that our commitment to the corporate brand is sustained and often act as brand guardians long after the creative work has been delivered. Even the greatest of ideas require careful implementation, monitoring and review to achieve their full potential.

Enjoying the experience
For all projects, large or small, the experience should be enjoyable too. Throughout the journey our relationship deepens from good listener to creative partner and often to trusted friend.
The closer we work with you, the more easily we can express you and your company’s vision. We have made a difference to our clients and believe we can do the same for you.

“After completing the visual language of 2 large drink giants, we required the skills of a design consultancy that could put together 2 sets of brand guidelines to ensure that everyone involved in communicating the Pampero and Harp brands projected a consistent and coherent image. An obvious choice for us was Wemakedesign, with their previous experience of developing guidelines for An Post, Cert, and Irish Cancer Society. They created simple, user-friendly effective guidelines allowing for universal access which is one of the key metrics for the success of both the Pampero and Harp Brands. Additionally Wemakedesign compiled all text throughout resulting in very clear concise guides.

“We needed a crisp and clear identity and representation for our new project. The brief involved designing a series of information sheets and brochures. Wemakedesign delivered to us an exciting series of options and the final result has been extensively commented upon by professionals as being highly attractive and very focussed on the business projects which we are promoting. Additionally, Wemakedesign coordinated all aspects of the design, photography, production and printing. A total package. We would have no hesitation in recommending Wemakedesign as a bright and efficient company who create, consult and deliver on time exactly what they have promised.”

Not only did Wemakedesign produce our dynamic new identity, they were also responsible for ensuring a confident and consistent image across all of our communications – from stationery to signage, livery to literature. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Wemakedesign.”
